Hoop Twin Cities

May Day 2014

Hoop Twin Cities is a local “hobby” group that shares the love of hooping by hosting weekly hoop jams, participating in community events, and offering lessons.

Jam at the Bandshell 2012 05

Community hoop jams are the core of what we do. We’ve been hosting them every week for over five years in the Twin Cities! Hoop jams are two hours of open practice & skill sharing time for hoopers (or any flow artists!). Looking for some practice time or an opportunity to learn something new? Join us at a jam! EVERYone is welcome; all ages, all skill levels, all props. We always have music rockin’ and extra hoops on hand for sharing.

Twin Cities Trapeze Center

Wabasha Street event July 2013

We’ll be jamming at the Trapeze Center every Tuesday night thru March 2015. Bring a friend and a smile! Come springtime, we’ll continue our weekly jams outside!

In addition to cultivating the local hoop community via weekly jams, we also help facilitate workshops for hoop dance instructors who tour the country teaching the newest and most innovative hooping trends. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting some of the country’s most influential hoop instructors including Jonathan Livingston Baxter, Tiana Zoumer, Rachael Lust, Brecken Rivara, and Ann Humphreys. Workshops weekends are a great place to learn new skills and understand new perspectives on your hoop practice, but it’s also a great opportunity to bond and network with the local hoop community.

Hoop Twin Cities is also available as entertainment for your upcoming event.

Planning an event with a luau theme? Circus theme? Or just want to include a fun activity? We can make that happen! Contact us and we can connect you with teachers or performers that will make your event something to remember!
